We are excited to share our heart with you regarding our Third Annual Advent Donation Drive and Christmas Impact Offering.
We know that 2021 has been a difficult year for some financially, but we believe wholeheartedly that God would have us more forward with supporting our local community partners through your generous giving this holiday season.
Advent Donation Drive
Nov 28
We'll collect laundry detergent, dryer sheets, dish soap, and toilet paper for Family Promise. Just drop off in our church lobby!
Dec 5
We'll collect non-perishable food items for Just Food. Just drop off in our church lobby!
Dec 12
We'll collect diapers (sizes 3), girl pajamas (sizes 9 mo-24 mo), and crib and pack-n-play sheets for Insight Women's Center. Just drop off in our church lobby!
Dec 19
We'll collect full-size blankets, adult socks, adult gloves, and deodorant for the DARE Center. Just drop off in our church lobby!
Christmas Impact Offering
We all know Christmas is a special time for giving, and we invite you to make Jesus the priority in your gift-giving by considering a special gift over and above what you normally give to Him. This offering will help us to continue to shine the light of Jesus in our community. Our goal this year is to raise $18,000 for six specific ministry initiatives, listed below.
We are simply asking every person to consider giving as much to Jesus this Christmas as we give to everyone else! That way, He stays FIRST on our Christmas list! You can give online here (select Christmas Impact 2021), but there will be an opportunity for you to give your special offering during the worship service on Sunday, Dec. 19. We'll announce the collected offering total in our Christmas Eve services on Dec. 24.

Christmas Impact Beneficiaries
Family promise - $5,000
Our contribution will help Family Promise ease the transition from homelessness to independent living by assisting families with rent.
Catholic charities of NE Kansas (Lawrence) - $4,000
Catholic Charities has a long history of providing "love and hope to our neighbors in need." Our gift to the Family Support Center in Lawrence will help families with rent and utility assistance, clothing, or medical prescriptions.
L.I.N.K. - $3,000
The Lawrence Interdenominational Nutrition Kitchen (L.I.N.K.) serves healthful, home-cooked meals to local individuals and families in need at no cost. Our gift will help provide groceries on days when donated food is not available, and help with ongoing operating costs.
Gideons InternationaL - $2,000
The Gideons have been making the Bible available at no cost to people in the U.S. and around the world for a very long time. Our partnership with the Gideons will help to place Bibles in hotels and will also help with the distribution of New Testaments on college campuses like the University of Kansas.
Insight Women's Center - $2,000
Insight is a ministry to all women residing in Douglas County experiencing an unplanned or planned pregnancy, as well as women who are seeking healing after an abortion, miscarriage, or other child loss.
Night to Shine - $2,000
Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 14 and older. This coming year, Night to Shine will celebrate its eighth anniversary as thousands from around the world will come together to honor those with disabilities.
